The Rione Rosso is one of the five Rioni into which the city of Faenza has been divided from time immemorial, an ancient city division established with the affirmation of Faenza as a free municipality.
It organizes and participates with the other Faenza districts in the annual Palio del Niballo at the fourth sunday of June. It owns and operates its own stables and a a group of Sbandieratori (flag-wavers) and musicians who participate in the city competitions in June and in numerous events around the world. It organizes cultural activities in the city. The coat of arms of the Rione Rosso, with its bright color and the Renaissance style, recalls from the beginning the fighting nature of this district, which has always been devoted to battle and victory. It is therefore no coincidence that the Rosso is the Porta Imolese district, the access point to the city that has seen the most clashes and battles over the centuries.
Our headquarter is in Via Campidori, 26.
